She’s gone. We’re happy. Diandra said it best: “She doesn’t know anything about, like, pitch.” So . . . . moving to on more substantive issues . . . .
Lots of shots of Alexis!!!!!! Lots!!!!! OK, so it will be Season 28 and I still won’t be over Alexis.
From cringe to joy: when Ryan said the Idolists were going to group sing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’”, Christine pulled a blanket over her head, and Diandra and I stared at each other, slack-jawed in a mutual combination of horror and alarm. Some of you know that Journey is, for me, holy ground, and Steve Perry is the high priest. And, let’s face it, Journey songs are at the top of the list for Bad Karaoke so this had the potential for unmitigated disaster. But Allison kicked it off fine with her bluesy-rock thang and Kris – can I believe that I am starting to like this guy? – held his own. We had some dull and some downright scary moments but then – I knew THE NOTE was coming and we really hadn’t seen Funky White Boy Emo-Chic, yet. THE NOTE came, our boy was there, and c’mon, you can count on less than all your fingers the number of people who can hit Steve Perry notes with Steve Perry power and Steve Perry clarity. Pure joy.
David Cook. Gotta love David Cook. Yes, I am going to review his album. And maybe comment on some others, too: Melinda Doolittle, Chris Sligh, and Mandisa.
Lady Gaga – and the judges were concerned about what Allison was wearing? I LOVE Lady Gaga’s album but, frankly, she was disappointing live. Already knowing about her stage get-up, I was anticipating a call from my Mom – and Mom didn’t disappoint!
What about Allison? Why is she in the Bottom Three again? This bugs me, really bugs me. She’s not the best but she’s better than Bottom Three.

She's gone. I'm...HAPPY!.
And to show how justified it is, don't have to name her as everyone knows who it is!!!
Being so overjoyed, I had to reserve my first comment to "we all know who".
NOW, the attention turns to Lady Gaga...and I WAS! GAGA, that is.
PLEASE, judges. Allison is a 16 yr. old and dresses the way 16 yr olds do! They LOVE ugly! It SELLS! It's CONTEMPORARY! Yet, you did not comment on Lady Gaga's "costume"??? Didya see the ZIPPER OVER THE EYE???? Didya notice?!?
Simon did make Megan pay for her flippant remark about not caring about his opinion. I, however, think she did and it hurt and she was merely covering that up. It's beyond tough standing up with countless millions watching you getting whacked and not have a defensive mechanism going.
Hey, I'm beginning to take her side...now that she's gone (smile).
You really are going to make me admit it, aren't you? You know music. You recognize talent. You understand performance and can anticipate potential. Yes, you are brilliant. But what I still can't figure out is how it could take you so long to admit Kris is worth noting. He is the complete package. - the only contestant who does not need a makeover. Anyone could see that, even those of us in Nebraska!
Megan - turn the lights down low - that's what the stage crew should have done so we didn't have to watch. It's easy enough to mute the television, but that dancing; it's almost worse than the singing.
I'm not sure I will ever be able to listen to a Lady GaGa song again without cringing. And I liked her music before this, um, performance?!
And let me know when you figure out what the problem is with Allison because I think she is fantastic. How can she possibly be in the bottom three?
I understand Allison being in the bottom three. Yes, there are others who were worse than her (Scott and Anoop to be specific), but her No Doubt song was not good in my opinion. She sounded rather scream-y and like bad karaoke. Also, I don't think she is very charismatic. And yes, she is good for 16 but whenever a qualifier is added, then maybe it more indicates what could than what is.
Yes, I am happy too. Just had a funny thought on Lady Gaga and Megan. One should be heard and not seen, and the other should be seen and not heard. Can you guess which is which? LOL!
